19th March 2011 - v2.0 Released

Well, first application bound to have some flaws :P

I actually forgot to mention that Net Framework 4.0 is required, you can download that here. Sorry I didn't mention that before.

Now, v2.0 has just a couple of tweaks. Straight after release I noticed a few minor things and we got up to v1.3 in about 30 mins. I then realised that the problem was actually that the update portion of the application was not working as expected and therefore was not copying the new version into place. If you already downloaded 1.0 then please update to 2.0 as the update problem is fixed, this should save you having to keep checking the website for new releases all the time. I'll add info on what was added to the version info option in the help menu so keep an eye on that for minor releases. Only major version releases will be posted here....

19th March 2011 - First Release

The first version of the application is finally ready for release. This is my first PC application so please be warned that there could be some bugs hidden in there although I have tested it quite a bit. Please make sure you have a backup of your save file before using this application.

Here is a breakdown of what this can currently do:

• The application will only read decrypted save files which you need a PSP with CFW or LCFW. Please use one of the following applications to decrypt your save:
  • Magic Save
  • sgdeemer
  • other applications may work but are untested
• Save files currently supported
  • Phantasy Star Portable 2 (US/EU/JP)
  • Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity Demo (JP)
  • Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity (JP)
• View information from your save file which includes:
  • Character level
  • Character type level
  • Character type extend information
  • Character inventory
  • Shared storage
  • Story mode points (points needed for the true ending)
• Backup certain parts of your save file to your PC which includes:
  • Whole character from the slot of your choice
  • Character inventory (all items)
  • Character inventory (single item)
  • Shared storage (all items)
  • Shared storage (single item)

I have also built in an auto update feature so you can keep up to date with the latest version. If anyone has any issues then please let me know.

13th March 2011 Update

Finally found some decent type information out, I am pretty happy with the amount of information available right now so a release is pretty damn close. I may add an item modifier too. I found the type abilities so I may make it so you can add up to the 12 slots (8 for vanilla pspo2) but it is considered cheating to do so of course :P

• Automatic update checks for the application and the menu file when opening the application.
• File menu with manual update checks for the menu file and application.
• Changelog form.
• Removing linked images from folders.
• When compiling the ISO, unused images are detected.
• Image browser so you can link to the same image more than once.
• Better visual appearance.

First post

This may not be the final hosting place for the application but I will try to post updates here to let the people that are keeping track of progress on where to download it when a release is available.

You can contact me on PSOW forums (user:funkyskunk) via a pm if you wish to help with anything. Database updates need to be done adding alot of English translations. Most of the Japanese names are completed. Here is a link to the current items.csv file which details all the items by hex. The format is:

ID,HEX,NAME,NAME_JP,DESC,DESC_JP

Type information. I can't seem to find the "points to next level" in the save file but found the current type exp points (822 here). Need to work out the correct type exp level up points which are programmed in the game	Shared storage view will be very similar to inventory. I have not even figured out where that is in the save file yet
